Did it this way to get the detail that may be lost and not look so good square on. A wave move still has that sensation and look. But is moving laterally and vertically away from you left to right.Instead of normal waves that come to you on the sea in a horizontal way. The waves are only symbolic. You can imagine sound waves, or some other kind of wavelengths that travel not in the same way as seawaves do. Does this make it any better.
